What do these wires connect to? Center Console/AC Issues
So, I've been having AC issues and thought I might have a leak in my vacuum system. I was going through the procedure to test my vacuum lines. Everything under the hood checked fine, so I was getting into the center console to check the lines there. The local porsche guy that really seems to know his stuff said he thought it could be an electrical issue, but he's booked solid for a month or so, so I figured I could do the vacuum testing without hurting anything (I hope). (You can read the full story here: https://rennlist.com/forums/928-forum/695998-ac-issues-on-1987-928-s4-auto.html)
Anyhow, when I got in there, on the passenger side, I found a clip and plug loose. So I took a pic and thought I'd ask if anyone if they had any thoughts on what these should be connected to. The whole issue I've been having has been since a stereo install disconnected my HVAC head unit AC button and I think maybe some other stuff has been disconnected. This tends to back that theory up. The clip looks like it could go on the passenger side of the vacuum housing (see second picture). I wasn't sure where the plug could go. Maybe it was for something that has been replaced since then, but instead of ripping things out and maybe making things worse, I thought I'd check here first.
Anyone know where these should be attached?

That looks like a cell phone kit add-on from decades past, or a link from a stereo to a CD player...etc...or even the old OEM stereo to the remote amplifier. But certainly has nothing to do with AC.

Ah, crud. Does anyone know if there is supposed to be something clipped to the vacuum housing the passenger side like there is on the driver side? If the issue sounds electrical or a ground issue like my porsche mentioned, that would explain a few things.

Any idea where the other end of that brown wire connects?
I'm not going to go too far down, I'll still test the vacuum system. The only reason I'm thinking it's electrical is because when I explained it is cool (about 60 degrees) coming out of the vents, but not as cold as it should (I guess around 40 degrees) and knowing that it used to be ice cold before I messed with the stereo guys, and then when explaining it to my porsche guy he says that he thinks it could be an electrical ground issue, and then I find a missing ground clip, I figure I can at least examine that.
But I readily admit, I'm only smart enough on stuff like this to get myself in trouble.

Well, it might be low refrigerant too, but it was fine a few days ago when I got it recharged.
I tested the vacuum lines and white is good (I already replaced the heater control valve). Blue was ok. Green was ok. But orange is a big time no. Yellow is a no too. Not as fast, but definitely loses vacuum. So looks like I need to replace the acuators for the comb flap and footwell flap. If I remember correctly, those aren't too hard to fix, right?
I'll probably just follow Dwayne's writeup here: http://dwaynesgarage.norcal928.org/1...0Procedure.htm

Not easy, not hard, just...follow the good writeups on it, take your time..and understand the process before starting it. There are more technical things to accomplish than this on the car.
