Default What sizes are these AC O rings?

999 707 247 40
900 174 011 40
999 707 261 40
999 707 247 40
999 707 251 40

Unlike bolts, the sizes are not listed clearly.

These are the rings/seals required to replace the AC dryer and the sensors connceted to it, an the front side of the front AC expansion valve.

What I dont see are the Oring numbers on the back side of the expansion valve..what are those?

Thanks.

May see if I can source those locally here in Seattle.

I bought an assorted size set on eBay which covered all the 928 applications. IIRC there were only two sizes needed.

From Nichols Tip #736 (I don't see the 900.174.011.40 one listed, though):

999 707 261 40; 9.0 x 1.8; 2; 0

999 707 251 40; 14.0 x 2; 3; 4
999 707 252 40; 17.0 x 2; 2; 0

And here's where they're all located:

Front A/C:
  1. expansion valve (under plastic tray next to intensive washer reservoir): 2 x #251, 1 x #250, 1 x #247.
  2. return line from expansion valve, middle of firewall: 1 x #252.
  3. compressor fittings: 1 x #251, 1 x #250.
  4. other side of return line to compressor at low side fill valve: 1 x #252.
  5. heading into condenser: 1 x #250.
  6. bottom of condenser heading up to receiver/drier: 1 x #247.
  7. pressure and temperature switches just before receiver/drier: 2 x #261.
  8. at receiver/drier: 2 x #247.

Rear A/C:
  1. expansion valve: 2 x #251, 1 x #250, 1 x #247.
  2. solenoid valve under passenger seat: 2 x #284.
  3. 2 pipes under car from solenoid valve to front connections: 2 x #251. 2 x #247.
FWIW, I remember getting a big assortment from a local auto parts place (probably NAPA) a few years ago that was labeled for use in some Nissan model (IIRC; I've lent those out right now and can't check); there was quite a bit of overlap with the above sizes.

Just wanted to start a list.

What pressure should the system be capable of holding?
I just connected the gauges to my 91GT's system and registered 2psi. Filled the system with nitrogen and am reading 240 psi on the high side and 120 on the low side. How long should it hold for? Any leakage allowed? How would I check for leaks?
Am I doing it right?

Whoah there...back up.

It should hold indefinitely or so. If it holds for 30min, yer probly good..and should even out both sides as well.

Your next step pulling a hard vacuum, and checking for leaks that way too.

You can check for leaks with freon with dye in it...works well.

Or..an electronic freon sniffer.
