I can get entirely new hardware for $130. I think the turn around time will be too much for me. I am looking to get my car back together this coming weekend. PM me the name of the place, and I will see. Do you have to strip the bolts of the rust, grime, ect..., or will they do that for me?

Lol. I need new crossmember securing bolts. My crossmember is in but just dry fitted so i could appreciate the look of red crossmember and other pieces contrasting with the fresh black of new undercoating.

Thanks destructo, its actually painted by me with engine enamel, gets a true durable finish when you do everything right and cure it till its rock hard.

Default DETAILED

I could not find T-bolts to put on the cross member for the brace. I also looked for the steering rack bolts to avoid them turning. I will probably weld a piece of key stock onto the bolt head to automatically wedge it.

Default CONDENSED

I marked the items with an asterisk that I could not locate from Fastenal. I will have to reuse them or substitute the closest size I can find. I also substituted half of the standard washers for lock washers. I figured it was a safe bet. Porsche used them on most of the ones I removed. Using yellow zinc plated hardware, you're looking at approximately $130.00 before any shipping just for the price of the hardware.

People might buy it but if you are serious about selling your product you should attend a 928 GTG or event in general and show people how your kit will be sold. Including all the necessary information people will ask such as "do the fasteners differ throughout the years" and "who manufacturer supplies these fasteners" and "are the fasteners equivalent quality to OEM". Then if you got people interested you could have a reason to further your venture.

Personally depending on price point i would go to FACCA fasteners here in London, Ontario if it were me. I would only buy an entire kit if i knew all my bolts were corroded and/or distorted beyond safe use in a car. Otherwise, i can just take a bolt i need to the fasteners place and they'll measure all the dimensions and ask me what materials/coatings i want.

I imagine there is a market for this set however, like people who are restoring cars or people who are just too lazy to go and search for individual bolts/people who don't care about prices.

I would have to see the quality of what you're selling before i made a decision on whether i'd buy it or not. Post pics.
