My 91 928 GTS auto could use a louder exhaust. What
About a BORLA exhaust. What size ( 3.5 ? ) and
Where to buy from and a rough cost from anyone would be helpful.

Have you tried a rear muffler bypass? I like the sound of my GTS with it...

From personal experience, I found an RMB and X-pipe with stock resonators (S4 style, large) would cause a really annoying drone during highway cruising and I ended up with headaches on long trips. I think if you went with a 3.5 inch exhaust, the drone would be very annoying on longer trips. Just an RMB gives a nice throaty tone, without causing too much of an annoyance.

Cheers!

When I bought my car, the PO had put a 3.5" with only a 6" diam. Magnaflow exhaust. No cat.
Way to loud and a LOT of drone at highway speed.

I put back the stock system (came with the car) but with a RMB.
Perfect!
...But I have to admit that right now the stock muffler is on the car... For the stock quiet ride!
But I know that I'll put the RMB back some day... For that perfect sound!

I have x-pipe, sport cats, stock GTS resonators, and RMB. No Drone. Ask Sean R, he drove it a while after fixing my cam crash.

I believe Constantine at Black SEa R&D is getting some of his rear stainless steel mufflers produced. Similar/same as the prototypes he produced several years back. Apparently quite good, nice sound and no drone. Kinda like an RMB but purpose built to bring more of the V* sound ouit without the annoying drone. Tis will be for 87+ cars - so S4s, GTs and GTS.

Cheers

... Just put back the RMB...

30 minutes job and great sound.
Perfect, like I said.
Great vid - and sound - RDK!

Didn't know Constantine was working on a new muffler system.
Another great product. Cool!

I removed the cat. That was loud enough for me but without any highway drone.

I did a full exhaust on my 86.5 a week ago Friday. 2.5" system with Borlas, X-pipe and fresh cats. The old cats were toast and the guts had all blown out into the mufflers.

The car has a nice tone to it now, no drone, and runs better.
