floor mats - 89 s4
I am looking for suggestions.
My interior is black and white. Black dash, black console, black door skins with white panel, white seats and white carpet.
The interior is not great. The leather seats are getting hard and starting to wear/crack in a few places.
Not sure what to do with the interior but I was thinking to start with floor mats. It has some aftermarket floor mat that is really sad.
Is there a preferred floor mat?
With this configuration, is a black floor mat typically used?

Floor mats are the cherry on top, you need to (re)build the sundae first. I would start with a good Leatherique treatment of the seats first and see how much softer you can make them.
Dunno whether it came with white floor mats originally, I would guess if the carpet is white, the floor mats would have been white. I like the white/black combo, except for actually using the car and trying to keep it clean.....
While you have the seats out of the car and are braising them for a couple days in Leatherique, in a warm place, go rent a carpet steam vac with the hand attachment and see how much of a difference it makes on the floor mats. Or run them through a top-loader washing machine, gentle cycle, Woolite, carpet side towards the drum.
For replacement mats contact 928Intl or RogRUs.

Black mats hide dirt and are common.
I found some tan mats , put them in they got dirty I'm back to some generic black mats until I can get really focused on my interior. Pics

I have the same Linen with black interior and I went with black Lloyd's mats. Very nice.
8 years later and 30k miles still look new. We except fo rthe heel area, but that's to be expected.

I too have a black/black 928s4, live in Bmore, and was sorta in the same situation. I went with Lloyds, gray mats to offset the interior. If you already have a light carpet, it wouldn't hurt to go with black, since it will match the dash and doors.
