Hey Guys,
I am pretty sure I need to replace the condenser in my 85 928S. It had gotten a hole in it that was repaired but after a week of R12 refill, it stopped working again.
What I wanted to find out is the availability of R12 in Las Vegas. I had heard it was outlawed in Socal but I live in Vegas now and wondered if it was the same here? Is it Federal or State?
When replacing the condenser (I will get a used one from 928 International), is it necessary to replace any o-rings or the like when swapping it out?
And, does anyone have a R12 hookup in Vegas where I can take the car post repair to have it refilled and tested?
Cheers
Bernie

R12 sales are limited in many developed countries of the world. Go south if you need R12. It's a commodity in Mexico, readily available last time I looked there (5 years or so ago).

Bernie, Auto Air & more has it in Vegas. Just east of The Orleans, on the South side of the street.
BTW they also supply all the other A/C shops in town, with everything they are the best auto A/C shop in Vegas.

Once I get the AC working on this thing and feel better about actually taking it out somewhere....lol
Randy, you always have a wonderful response every time I drop by....lol
Hope things are good for ya man, miss all the interaction but seriously busy these days with my kids AMA Pro Racing career. We have a team now with Dynojet out of Vegas, hence the move!

Will look into these guys.
I am sure the guys at 928 International will know what I need to do to replace the condenser but would still like to hear experiences on the job from others? Is it a simple swap or are there some things to consider? As always with the 928, every repair needs a backstory.....
