Default 18" wheels

Any advice on solid vs. hollow turbo twist wheels? i found a guy trying to unload hollow 18x7.5 offset 50 fronts and 18x10 offset 65 rears from a VW rabbit. Would these not fit my 1990 928 GT? The hollow wheels weigh a couple of pounds less but then some people complain they are weaker. They are only for street use, so who cares? How much would I lose by not going with 8" front wheels? It is only half an inch but I have not seen hollow 18x8's - I guess the hollow wheels are hard to come by.
Thank you anyone for responding.

Search for the wheel tire calculator spread sheet thread. Someone created a nifty calc to evaluate tires, offsets and wheel widths. Top right - Search this Forum.
