Default How to remove the dead pedal...

...stupid question here. I'm trying to release the dead pedal to gain access to the central warning system and do the refurbishing procedure by Tom928 (great!).

I have removed the two side screws, but pedal seems still stuck. I dont want to break anything so I'm asking if it is holded still in place by the side thing next to the hood lever, which I don't know what it is or how to remove it. (it's a '80 euro),Thanks.

Pop the black plastic cap (pointed to by the upper arrow in your 'left' picture) with a small flat screwdriver. There's another machine screw under there.
