These sure are neat cars to drive. She needs an alignment!

Having trouble with the shift cable adjustment... Anybody know if Porsche changed the length of the cable? I used the transmission tt from the grey car and the shiftcable and handle are OEM for the black car, and installed into this car. They're both 1980 model year. The cable keeps coming out of adjustment and i can't get it into park our reverse. I can't find my service manual either.... Sorry for the dumb question...

Good Save!! Way to keep them running and out of the scrap yards. This way someone else can enjoy it when you're done with it...

Windows
Dash lights
aux ac fan works when hooked to 12v but not by itself.
Wipers are terribly slow...

All fuses are good.

Got some decent looking seat covers for $20. Repaired the door cards and armrests.

Go to start it... No crank. Again! Back to the drawing board!

Seats are all of a sudden workin? Bad grounds I'm guessing? Its about 80 degrees and temp gauge climbs to 3/4 sitting in heavy traffic.

Ha... Got the windows working.

Went through the vacuum system.. Replaced many crusty hoses. Idle s better.

Still missing. Went through the ignition system. Adjusted dizzy, cleaned contacts replaced plugs. Checked wires cap and rotor again... Replaced green wrote with brand new. No change... Cept it runs even better. Still missing at idle.

Time to check for more vacuum leaks. I sprayed each injector w a shot of starting fluid... Guess what... It sure idled better. Time for new orings.

It'll give me a chance to replace the fuel lines as well! The simplest thing makes such a difference sometimes.
