I like my 2.2. No biggie to me to knock down to third or fourth when I want to pass someone.

Bigger difference with an auto!

 

It's an automatic. That takes all of the fun out of it. The only automatic I have owned has been my motorhome. I'll probably convert it to manual and turbo it one day.

 

I'd like to score a 2.54 (or higher)...so that is just '89 and up (auto)..

I had an Audi A6 with the V8 and tiptronic....that was a reasonably fun auto...can't imagine what the Ferrari/Lambo/Porsche modern variants are like. There are still ways to reign over the auto shift tendencies to some extent..
