Wish there was a decent tire for me to use the 9.5" phone dials I have.
Here is my 79 with 17" Carrera Cup Replica's and 18" Carrera III take-off's:

I personally like the OEM Disk wheels that you have on the car now. Or the S4 disk wheels that are similar to what you have, except the the rears are wider than the front. I have S4 disks (chromed) on mine. I don't particularly like seeing the brake calipers and rotors behind the wheels. That's just me though. But, on the other hand finding new tires to fit the OEM 16" wheels is becoming a challenge.
I really like the color of your car.

Owning a white 928, I tend to like all other colors of 928's.
My '91 GT had 16" D90's which I liked. Now I'm running 18" Cayman-S wheels.
I love the updated look, but I still feel that the car handled/rode better on 16" wheels. I am seriously considering keeping the D90's for my track days and some ultra performance tires.
One downside of 18" open wheels is a feeling that comes with it: Wow... I really need to paint those calipers...
Good luck with your search for new wheels.

Three Wheelin'
This is the way to go! 17" 9" in front and 10" in rear. Now I'm running
235/40/17 front's and 265/40/17 rear Dunlop Drizza's. Fantastic tires BTW. Picture shows my old Kumho's NLA. 245/40/17 front and 265/40/17 rear.

I have always liked the twist wheels. Going from manholes to these transformed the look of my car for me.
18x8 ET 50 fronts with 255/40R18s
18x10 ET 42 rears with stock rear spacers and 285/35R18s

There is already that "coolest wheels" thread to peruse...
I'd use caution with 50 or lower front offset. I dislike the appearance but that is personal taste, there are other consequences too depending on degree of wear on front end parts and intended use/road quality.
Mine came with gold tint forged flats, went to 7 & 8 993 wheels, then to staggered 16" phone dials.
