Corbeau seats in a 928
Thinking about getting these seats for my 928... thoughts?

Regardless of what seats I select I need manual rails for headroom.
What OEM porsche seat would provide the most head room (i.e. torso length)?

Nice! I was looking at Corbeau as well. I too need more head room.
Please post if you buy 'em, would love to hear comments about install, etc. I will probably be ready to buy this fall.
As far as Porsche seats, the Sport Seats are nice, manually adjustable (IIRC) but hard to find. There is a recent RL thread "ReDesign and Recover Sport Seats".

I put a pair of those (Corbeau GTS II) into my VW. I got the black leather. The quality is pretty good. They're quite firm, and the side-bolsters do their job well.

What model 928 do you have??? The early manual sport seats provide a lot more head room. Also the early manual sport 911 seats. I have a pair in brown vinyl with pasha inserts that need the seams re-sewn but could be nice for the right interior.

I have an older set of Corbeaus in my 84 with manual seat tracks. They sit noticeably higher than the stock seats. I'm 5'9" and my head is about an inch below the roof. My car has a sunroof.
I like the seats as they are a lot more supportive than the originals. However, don't think installing them will buy you more headroom. They only make it worse. I'm going to be cutting the original seat mounts out of the tub and bolting these to the pan of the car at some point so I can fit with a helmet.

I don't know for sure but I doubt it will be any lower. The recline motor is in the back rest. The forward / aft and up / down motors are under the seat bottom. You will need manual seats to get anymore headroom if you are staying with Porsche seats. Some of the after market are no better for headroom and not nearly as nice of a seat than the stock 928 seat.
What year model is your car???
