Default PA Road trip next week

I'm thinking of doing a PA wilds road trip next week.

Any recommendations on roads, beet little towns etc.

Also if there any fellow 928's that would like to tag along or meet for a portion that's cool.

My plan is to drive from Burlington Ontario down to Wellsboro PA on Wednesday afternoon/evening. Spend the night and then cruise on Thursday, spend the night somwhere and then had back home on Friday,

Now I just have to finish my brake job and hope that Roger gets my retainer springs on Monday.

Stop in Grove City at the outlet mall and shop your face off on Fri. morning, easy run home from there so no rush on the return and the savings are worth the trip. With the new import limits after 48 hrs., it's even more attractive. Oh, and no tax on a lot of stuff in PA.

There are a lot of beautiful roads in central PA. One of my favorite is along the Susquehanna river, starting about 40 miles north of Harrisburg and going up to and into Williamsport. Then, from Williamsport, on up to the PA border using hwy 15 is beautiful mountain scenery, with mostly excellent, soon to be interstate I-99 highway. I drive this road to and from Watkins Glen NY track (if in the area, check it out, a very historic "car" town with a great race track and US Formula 1 history). There is mostly light traffic on this road. The southern tier of NY with the finger lakes has beautiful scenery and generally good roads.

I'm still trying to decide if I should go to PA or stay in Ontario for my drive.

Any thoughts on this PA route?

I would be driving from Watkins glen down to Harrisburg, spend the night and then up through central PA on my home the next day.

Ontario has some really awsome roads. Just head north to the Muskokas and chart yourself a map to the east. Take a drive through Algonquin Park? Some great roads around the Bancroft area.

I'm sure if you had a starting point in mind for Saturday, you coul Gather some other P-cars for the ride.

My Ontario route was Muskoka, the 507, Algonquin and maybe Manatoulin and or Kilarney. I have just done it so many times.

The good news is my brake parts just arrived from Roger so I can slap the wheels on now.

I'm doing Thursday and Friday. I will decide this aft and post my route in the Canadian forum. Just in case anyone wants to join.

Can't make any comments about the Ontario route, as Ive never driven that, but the eastern part down through PA that you mapped will be a pretty drive, and nearly all 4 lane divided from about 10 miles N of the NY/PA border until you get to Williamsport, then some going west probably. The western route through the PA mtns should have lots of twisties, and some nice scenery as well - have driven parts of that, but not in 30+ years!!

Have a SAFE trip.

No PA run, I now have family commitments on Friday or so my wife told me!

I'm going to try and plan this for a weekend in June or July.

I will probably just do a day trip tomorrow up through Muskoka and the 507.

Thanks for the input.
