I am planning to refresh the timing belt tensioner this coming weekend. Need the flywheel lock, is there some one in the Richmond, VA area willing to sell or lend? Thanks.

You will need a new tensioner roller and (probable) idler too. Don't forget the gasket....
Better yet call Roger at 928Rus.

Ditch the factory tension and put on a Porkensioner.

What are the reviews on the "Porkensioner"? has it proven itself? Having asked that I think it will indeed take "one step at a time" just need to get the car running after sitting for seven years in my garage.

The reviews are glowing and positive. I put mine in last year and I can't tell you how nice it is to not have to think about the belt tension any more.
But if you are doing it one step at a time I guess you could look at it two ways. One, just get the car running. Two, you are going to be in there and it needs service so why not do it?

Guess you gotta pick one.

Azir Khan,
When I said one step at a time I was referring to your comment that you were just considering 'refreshing' the tensioner. By the look of the roller, that needs to be dealt with as well.

I agree with Jeff. Now knowing the car has been sitting for 7 years. the timing belt is one of the things that needs to be replaced. Knowing this I would go with the porkentensioner too. Along with this the roller should go to by the looks of it. For the timing belt tensioning system, it is not just the belt and the tensioner. With the p-tensioner you eliminate the idler.

Not necessary, rebuild yours.
The Blue car looks fantastic.
Roughly where in Richmond are you located.
We just left Powhatan, otherwise I'd help you.

I live on the south side of Richmond, near Hull Street and 288. I need the flywheel lock to remove the pulley, tried using the impact wrench, no luck.
