What a great thread. Glad to see you get this resolved in time. I volunteer for a local softball association and am hosting a tourney. I'm hoping to get my son and his new car down there for the next one.

Did it come from Hamilton?

Hi Imre. I got a loaner part from Livio. His spare engine was in pieces so they were readily at hand. I pm'd him to see if he had one. Thank god he was active on rennlist cause it was the only way I has of contacting him. One more testment to the power of this forum.

So even though Livio can't be at SITM in person this year We brought a piece of him.

Default Hello

Hi Murray,
Glad you have the 'shark' working well and on the road to SITM. I will really miss the SITM specially driving to and from the event.

Did Alex G. contact you?

Alex is heading down with his Son-in-laws father tomorrow. He called me this afternoon asking one last time if I could go. Unfortunately, not in the cards this year, but possibly next.

I just have to figure out how to unhook my clutch and remove the old engine then I can work on removing all of the parts I want to use on my new engine.

I had a feeling it was Livio's part, he is the only one in the are with a ripped apart S4. I'm glad it worked out!

Livio, in a couple weeks I should be in good enough shape to drive down and help you with the clutch.

Imre, Looking forward to it. I am getting very itchy and I want to have the car rolling by the end of the summer. Summer is fast approaching. I appreciate your offer.

Murray, I am very buzzed that you made it fine with no problems. Take lots of photos. Alex is heading up today...Bummer that it is pouring rain today and this weekend long up here. I hope the weather finds you better in BE.

Livio, Thanks again, you were a lifesaver. It rained thursday afternoon and again Friday. Today looks clear but cool. So far i could have gotten away with not fixing the A/C. Alex is here in his pristine OB. I think he started polishing it at 6:30 this morning.

Smaller turnout than last year. About 60 or so cars at the hotel, though I know some people are staying elsewhere. Alex and I are the sole Canadian contingent.

I will help you with your engine removal. Just let me know when.

Thanks again.
