Possible to get replacement captive screws for airbag?
Hi folks,
After finishing putting my car back together yesterday with the repaired dash, I noticed that I had installed the steering wheel one notch off of straight. This evening I went back in to correct that, and to my shock and disgust, the right side captive Torx screw for the airbag stripped. I was really surprised because I don't think I overtorqued it or anything when installing it... just using a 1/4" ratchet with a T25 bit on it.
Anyway, I did finally manage to get the stripped screw out by grinding down a T30 bit and tapping/hammering it into the screw. I also had a stainless Allen bolt on hand that's the same size, but not captive, so the wheel is now straight, and the airbag is still secure.
Looking at Autoatlanta's IPB, I don't see any indication of T25 screws for the airbag, either under the steering wheel or with the airbag. Anyone know whether these can be ordered separately? If not, I'll probably see about fabbing something with the welder and the lathe....
Thanks,
Paul

Well, this was a Duh! moment. Even though I had been told the airbag screws were T30, I was for some reason thinking they were T25. That's why I ended up stripping one of them. Apparently T25 bits aren't the best fit for a T30 screw!
