After removing the throttle body on my 85 US, to clean and install new lower o-ring, and TPS switch, I removed the idle screw, and inspected the small o- ring on it.
When I re-installed it, I turned it clockwise, until it was completely closed. I then opened it up 3 full turns. Would this be a good starting point to get it started?
Do anyone know how much it should be opened from the factory?

On the front of your motor is a round test point it has a cover. Short a and c this removes the isv from the idle circuit adj screw to 675 rpms. I am pulling this from the top of my head its in the manual, make sure your air is off.

I am familiar with that procedure
I was wondering of I should open it a certain amount for my initial start after re-installing throttle body
