There are a couple of 928 owners in Wilbraham, Stan Shaw and Dave Tassinari. They aren't in the business of working on others' cars but may be able to refer you to someone in that half of the state and/or may be able to advise regarding the damage. They are on Rennlist.

The Insurance Company finally acknowledged the damage claim today. I am now ready to proceed to take the vehicle to a repair shop.
I seem to have two places under 40 miles from home to go to.
Donovan Motorcar Service on 4 Holmes Road in Lenox, MA
and
Gunter's Foreign Car Service on 351 Longview Avenue in Hinsdale, MA.
I would appreciate any information that can be provided as to the best place I should go.
Thanks

I'm not exactly "close" but I am a current 928 owner and competent professional mechanic for a living.... and I do take on side work if either of your other options don't work out for whatever reason. Feel free to PM me if you'd like.

Jeremy ^^^^^^^^^ would be my recomendation for our area. I have a spare lift if you just want to get under the car and take a look. Are you taking the money and getting the repairs done on your own?

My 1991 928 sustained unknown undercarriage damage on a section of road that suffered Irene storm undermining. The road reopened with a temporary pavement repair that was substandard because it was a deep bowl instead of a nearly a flat pavement job. I bottomed out hard entering and exiting the depression. I have noticed fluid on the garage floor and the vehicle pulls to the right.
I have only driven it twice since then.
