I am going to have my seats done this year. Was thinking of doing a two color seat. Black on the sides, bolsters and backs and tan in the center. Rears would be all tan. Have a full black interior now.
Should I do the door cards in tan also to tie things together or would this color change just look stupid?

Yes, I saw that thread and that's what made me think of this. Problem with the 928 is the back seats would need to be all black or all tan unless I did the top and bottom "hump" part of the seats on the back and butt part in black and the middle ones in tan.

So the two decisions for me would be do I go 2-tone on the front seats and do I go fabric instead of leather for the dash. But Black and Cork is definitely the way to go. with black as the dominant color and cork for a contrast. It would help if someone could pshop a black interior with (1) the seats all cork and (2) the front seats 2-tone and back seat cushions all cork.
In back the black leather walls and rear glove box thing in Black along with black carpet will take care of the rest.
The only question would be the door arm rest area inserts, I would probably wait until everything else was done before making the inserts decision. Also the Dash might be alcantara or mohair(another decision)

Does anyone here have Photoshop skilz [sic] that can bang out a sick representation of what a black interior on a black car with two tone front seats (cork inserts) and cork rear seats would look like?

I've been considering going to a two-tone interior (have a all black interior now), but have reconsidered. Just out of curiosity, why do you want to change?

The PO had the front seats recovered in vinyl and I don't like it. Factory said it had supple leather and it is no longer supple in the rear (years of Cali baking I imagine). I figured a new set of seat covers would be in order. Black leather with cork alacantra inserts might be cool too. Thoughts on that?

I suppose cork might look good in a black/black car. Alcantare is very sweet. Redo the steering wheel in the same colors and materials. And If I were going to do a two-tone interior, I would change the carpet color as well. That brings more depth to the interior, something which is lacking in an all black interior.

The carpet color change opens a whole new can of worms. It's like 40 hours from what I have read to change the carpet out.

The steering wheel will be redone this winter when I pull the dash to be recovered. I want to leave the dash black with alacantra pod and black leather dash.

Don't have black on tan but some other examples of what two tone 928 interior can look like but here is my thread when I did a design study for my Turquoise Metallic car. In the end I felt the two tone seats were visually too much for my tastes and went with black with turquoise metallic piping.
Here is a link to the design study with different two tone scenarios

Here is what I ended up selecting.

cork alcantara against a black background (don't mix cork with saddle, saddle is lighter like butta) (the other fabric is something called Technical Fabric by Ferrari, I wonder if the 928 interior guru's can get their hands on that stuff?)
