No news is good news I guess. You probably won't hear much unless there is a problem, which there shouldn't be I modified a chinese pump with a plastic impeller and installed it in the Hanson stroker race car and after 2 full dyno days and a full day at Lime Rock it seems to do the job. Next test is Watkins Glen in June for the stroker and I have one that I remanufactured 2 years ago in my supercharged 85 track car going to Watkins Glen in 2 weeks not to mentioned driven almost daily to and from work and has seen 7 days at Lime Rock over the last 2 years.

Be prepared for $ shock on the Laso water pumps - prices increased significantly and they are also hard to find.
New price is $399 and that includes a Porsche gasket.

This figures, I'm past due. If I had done my belt back when I should have, I'd have the cheap gears, cheap water pump, cheap trans mounts.

Lesson learned? Quit putting off maint.

If so many people are buying new water pumps, what are they doing with the old ones that they're taking off?

If everyone's just piling them up in the garage to take up space, I'd be willing to help you reduce that clutter, but only by a little bit. I wouldn't mind having maybe one or two for some experimenting or playing around with, but definitely wouldn't want a garbage can full of them! Space is at a premium as it is now.

If there are so many used ones available, is there anybody in the European side of the ocean willing to part with their used WP? I'm looking for one with a plastic impeller. Of course I'll pay for shipment and I'm sure we can work something out as an extra. It needs to be send to The Netherlands. I hope for some replies...
