Question Post PS Pump Rebuild Problem

I was having low speed steering issues and a leak from the PS Pump so I bought a rebuild kit and pulled the pump. On tear-down as I suspected the main gasket was torn, so I cleaned it up, replaced the o-rings and seal with new, and reinstalled the unit. Now the pump doesn't seem to be working at all. Prior to start up I filled the reservoir and left it for a day while I took care of other things on my list. I started the car and turned the wheel lock to lock a dozen times but nothing. I also get a whine from the pump at anything over idle (which I didn't have before)
Any suggestions?

Switched supply and return hoses? Used regular PS fluid?

Aryan,
Definitely using ATF, and did go back to check the location of the supply and return before posting but the way the lines are fabricated it would be hard to get them to fit the other way. Thanks.

Ok one more shot

Are there any bubbles visible in the reservoir with the car running and moving the wheel from left to right?

I just went back and checked the orientation of the lines again and they look correct.

Aryan, no there aren't any bubbles when turning the wheel.
