The solenoid valves are all the same - only the actuator config and sense of the switching of the solenoid are different, you can swap any solenoid valve for another - will work the same. The defroster flap is also reversed sense from the others - open by default (no elect signal or vacuum).

Same general idea - if you lose vacuum or HVAC head function/power - you can at least still get warm air to the windshield - at speed a little even without the blower...
