Sure, but you better have reciepts for te parts that you sell from it. The 928 is a great candidate in my opinion becasue the cars can be purchased cheaply and then you can sell off the parts you don't need for relatively big $$$. When crazy Mike and I started to look at doing Lemons, he had a $500 1978 928 that he litteraly found in a chicken coop. It had no paint on the car so it was nice and rusted. He sold off the euro headlights for $350, the tail lights for a few hundred dollars, the interior for a few hundred dollars, and had planned on selling the glass and other odds and ends. You can get the price down really low when you start selling off parts like that. Unfortunately he ended up getting a divorce before the car build got very far and the Lemons project died. Now he's living the nomad's life on a sailboat in the keys.

To date there have been exactly 3 928's that have or still do race in lemons...... Mine was the 1st....in 2009.....the 928 "Estate" or shooting brake as it was originally known..... I raced it in 3 races....

There is one back east, that I don't know very well...and it is quite horrible and breaks down more often than it runs

There is another from Salt Lake City that my friends run....and it runs quite well.......quite reliable....50+ hours on track in the past year.....

My Estate has been SOLD....its new owner will continue to run in in Chump and Lemons races.....but I'll let him tell the story on that!!!!

The current rule in chump car is 10 ads for cars that can be driven. If the add says it can't be driven as is they toss it.
