Default Throwout bearing washer questions

here is a picture of the two washers that i have. the one on the left i got off an old pressure plate from a friend- it is missing the tooth and has a square (cross-section) C-clip.. the one on the right was off my car, has a partial tooth, and has a grove worn from the c-clip that has a tapered cross-section ....

what one should i use? i was going to TIG a new "tooth" on the one missing it, but I'm not sure if the clip originally was boxed or tapered......

Both of those parts wear out over time. The clip is easily sourced, but the toothed washer is not. Since the T/O bearing kit is no longer being made, we are going to start running out of good used ones...

I have a brand new DD toothed washer, should anyone ever decide to forge ahead and make new ones- I could send it along as a template.
