Ha! Well, you can never really be 100% sure. Not unless you can pass a nanite through the system looking for escaping refrigerant during actual running conditions You can get reasonably close with a Nitrogen pressure test though.

A Nanite probably won't work. But good thinking.
The problem with the present generation of nanite is they are too lazy.
The issue started years ago when the Federation's screw ups became
visible to the republic thanks to cell phones, TV and the internet.
The republic has been convinced that hypocrisy is the norm.
If you can find a Nanite with virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles alike Ozzie and Harriet, maybe something like Walt Cleaver, old generation, you might have a chance. But, it would be much easier to use an electronic refrigeration sniffer.

Many years ago, GM had the same problem with their front evaporators. It became common to repair them with epoxy.

Earl and I discussed this several years ago - If I remember correctly, the plan was vigorous cleaning with good brake cleaner, application of a wicking Loctite product while pulling a good vacuum, then pot the entire end in epoxy. Make an open box around the end, pour full of liquid epoxy, let cure.
