Spotted a gold/silver 928 in Round Rock, TX
Looked to be in a salvage yard of sorts off I-35 in Round Rock. It's right off the highway by a La Quinta Inn on the service road. Was parked facing the service road. Anyone seen it before? If not it may be worth checking out.
I found the car on google maps street view. It is located at Bull Dog Service.

I *think* I know the place. There are a few more 928s lurking in the back of that yard IRRC. I stopped in a few years ago and spoke with one of the guys. They belong to the owner of the yard and he seems to think they're worth.. something. Most of them have been hacked and one had a ford v6 swap. They're parts cars but its hardly worth talking to the owner as he seems to think he'll retire from selling them.

I think I see a rear spoiler on the car
edit - also in the satellite view of the yard I think I see a white 928 next to a red SUV/Van.

My friend Chris owns several of the cars. They are in his dad's lot at his machine shop. Chris was a major tinkerer. The gold car is a Weissach (dads car). It is pretty much destroyed because it has sat in the sun closed up for at least 20 years now! Complete waste of a nice car. Makes me sad!
One of the shells in the yard is my old '80 OB parts car...not much left of that.
Chris took one of his 928's and put a 351 Cleveland in it. He tried to get an Explorer V6 to work in another of them and then I think he actually had a 3rd one that he had left alone pretty much. None of them really worth a crap though. He never got the V6 to work btw, he drove the 351 all the time. Got like 9 mpg or something and was frankly not all that fast considering how much gas it was burning through!
