Default Another GTS for sale... mine :-(

Really don't want to sell, just don't drive it at all these days.

Some know the history of this car. For those that don't... It was purchased by Dave Sarten from a dealership out in the Midwest. Original owner bought it in Vegas and brought it back to LA. If it means anything, the original owner was Andre Agassi. Dave Sarten sent the car out to LA to have Eric Munck add a supercharger. This was a bad idea and Dave ended up with a sheriff and a ovalled engine due to over pressurization. Dave Sarten replaced the '93 engine with a '94 he bought from 928 International. Dave and his son were more creative reinstalling the supercharger and once done told Dave Roberts he wanted to sell it. DR told me and I bought it. I gave it to DR to bring it back to stock. I wanted a reliable car. I spent a lot of money de-Muncking this car. There were no dollars spared restoring the car to stock. It has been the most reliable car I have ever owned. The only non-stock items besides the audio system, is the GT exhaust with the smaller resonators and a RMB. The sound of it in tunnels and parking decks is indescribable.

The paint on the car is not original. At some point Dave Sarten had it repainted. It was not bad job, but need a lot of my time to get the paint up to my standards. After a lot of work I can say that the paint is 9 plus. It never fails to turn heads.

I redyed the interior after I repaired the driver side bolster. I sent a sample to to get the color matched. I used Surflex.

It is a great driver.

About 20 miles on a new timing belt. Elected to not replace the water pump. It was fine. (Others have their own opinion, I know)

Looking for 30k. Has 95k on the ODO.

I took the picture over the weekend after a washing. You can still see some water drops. Car needs an exterior detailing. I hand rubbed the car after I got it out of the sun. I will post better pictures as they become available. My camera sucks.

Starting to upload pictures here: https://picasaweb.google.com/1102734...IDyisjBm8fWfQ#

Believe Porsche used "S" to designate "Super". Carrera 4S, Cayman S, 928S, GTS, etc.

GLWS Kevin, seems to be a great deal. Its old pressure plate is still serving me well in my GTS-powered GT.

Thanks! Just happen that the latest issue of Porsche Christophorus spells out the meaning of GTS: Gran Turismo Sport !

Cheers!

I remember that car very well. It was white when Eric had it at his shop. I got a ride in it after he installed the supercharger and was pressed up against the seat with the thrust Good luck with the sale, this car deserves a really good home

Man. My favorite color combination. I can't justify another one though. GLWS.

What a great looking car. I have just started looking into a 928 as a hobby cor. I have owned several 911's over the years and wanted to venture out into the 928 world.

You cannot go wrong with a well maintained GTS. I have owned 85, 86 and 86.5 model years and the GTS stands head and shoulder above them. ( I don't want to start a war. )

That is a very nice looking car. My $.02, I would take the sub-woofer out of the back when you take pictures for the ad to make it look more clean and "stock." Very cool about having the 94 engine.

928's are AWESOME! Remember they were 50% more expensive than your 911's (comparing same MY's of each) and were for sure faster and for the most part quicker as well. They are quite amazing cars. Oh, they are probably 20% cheaper than those same MY 911's today too making them an amazingly good deal.

That said, the GTS's will always command a MUCH higher price than any other 928 as so few (406 from '93 - '95) were imported!

They are awesome...of course I have a terrible sickness that has caused me to amass 10 of the damn things and they are all VERY, VERY nice examples too!
