Default DFW 928 May - First Saturday at Cars and Coffee

Just a quick heads up.

We'll be at Cars and Coffee on Cinco de Mayo a week from today.

We've been at Dixie House for the last 4 or 5 get togethers so it was time for a little change.

Cars and Coffee is at Classic BMW in Plano:
http://www.classicbmw.com/

Location:
http://www.classicbmw.com/HoursAndDirections

Cars and Coffee Dallas Website:
http://dallas.carsandcoffee.info/

We need to get there pretty early to park together as there is normally 700 plus cars at the event.

We'll meet at 7am to get spots. We normally enter, (only one entrance) go all the way to the back and take a left. Park on that row.

We'll stay until about 10:30 and then caravan out to Rudy's BBQ straight up the Tollway in Frisco by Pizza Hut Park. Lunch around 11am to beat the Rush.
There is plenty of parking in the back.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the event!!

Yes Chuck, the last breakfast GTG only had about 30 people there. It was getting WAY too popular, but then, you weren't there. Thanks for breaking up the party.

Default As read in the National Enquirer

1) He just want's to stay close to home in case his new cam timing is giving him trouble.

2) A repeat performance from the last 3rd coast where it did not s...t.

3) Perhaps he believes "Charlie" will be at cars and coffee..

Dang, no love from the peanut gallery??!!

Curry, I know you need your beauty sleep, but I need you there. As Herman said, I may need y'all to push start the Charlie Car in case my starter goes again!

Herman, you can dial the cams in while Curry Pushes!

Charlie should be there as he has owned about 10 of these right???

Default Sandy and I have the kids...

so we are trying to work out the babysitting for the little ones.

We are going to bring the older boys. Having a four seat car for a sports car is pretty cool.

I spent some time cleaning up the car yesterday. It looks fantastic.

Do they have any vendors at the event that sell food in case someone gets hungry?

Chuck,
You are SO right about that beauty sleep!

My cardiologist has already told me that I can't eat doughnuts, but then, he also told me to lose some weight. I got a second opinion and that doctor told me I was ugly, too. (I'm here all week, folks)

I believe that I'll skip the C & C and just go have breakfast at the Dixie House. Same time (8 am) and place (Dixie House on 183 in Euless) as usual for those that aren't enthralled by Cars & Coffee.

You guys have fun.

Default Who else is coming Saturday?

The babysitting is arranged, so I am in. Where do we meet at 7? Who else is coming? Roger is coming. We know that is too early for John Curry. What about Andy, Brad W, Sean, Jim, Herman, etc? I think it would be cool to have a bunch of 928's there.

Chuck,

Lay off the happy juice until Saturday night. We wouldn't want you to oversleep since you are leading this expedition to another locale.

Anyone else care to chime in? I know you guys are reading this.

My car is still up on jackstands and all apart. I plan on going to Dixie House so that I can come back home and run a new B+ power cable and new fuse/junction box in the wife's car.

I like going to cars and coffe every so often, but I don't have the time this weekend. Next time.

Well, let's see. Get up at 05:15, and perform my ablutions to make myself beautiful(no commentary). Get out to the garage, and get the car out and warmed up by 05:50. Drive +1 hour to Drano, and mingle with 699 other cars in a mob. Walk around for 3-ish hours. Then, take a toll road further away to Crisco, and have a nice heavy BBQ lunch. Head home around 1-ish, and get home after 2.

Maybe we should try - Tyler? Nachadoges is nice........

sigh
