Default Charlotte 928 mechanic

I have a 1987 928S4 that's turning over but not starting...we recently moved from Charleston SC to Davidson NC, so looking for a good local 928 mechanic

I did see some earlier posts with some ideas, but a lot of guys listed are out of the area, and since I will need this towed...and always ongoing issues that will need attention in the future...I wondered if there was someone right in Charlotte or a bit north that I should be talking with

...or whether I just need to go to out of town

In Charleston, Karl Troy at European Road & Racing has always been terrific, so I'm pretty spoiled.

I did get a referral to Eurowise in Charlotte...not a Porsche/928 specific garage, but apparently good guys...anybody have any experience with them?

With thanks for any guidance

Steve

I believe there is an European performance there. Or something like that. I took mine down from Greensboro to see this guy. Sorry can't remember his name but he was one of the best when it came to 928s.

Sorry I can't remember more but I am sure they are still in business. Not cheap but very good.

Check for basics. Are you at least getting spark? What about fuel pressure?

Might also try Exclusive Motorwerks in Denver, might be a little closer to you being in Davidson.
Call 704-483-3847
Email office@Exclusivemotorwerks.com

I've not delt with them before, but they are having an open house next weekend for PCA members.

*i can speak firsthand to the knowlege , honesty , and quality work that Jim Burton does...very happy he is in the area.

thanks for the input guys...I'll make some calls today
@Dan87951, sadly my time is a bit cramped these days for the troubleshooting task...hopefully a good 928 guy will be able to take a look and say 'oh yeah I know what that is'...optimistic always

I would second the vote for Jim Burton at Hendrick Porsche. Jim knows as much about 928s as anyone. I also have no experience with Exclusive motorwerks but would also recommend checking them out if going over to Hendricks is too far out of the way.
