Default A/T modulator pressure - type of gauge

What type of gauge should I buy for checking the A/T modulator pressure?

Thanks

I bought this
kit kit
from Amazon. I have it hooked up right now and pressure tested. AS soon as I have supper I am going to check and set pressure on my new modulator. The hose is long enough to reach the driver side cockpit when routed over the left heat shield. I'll post back my results.

The gauge set worked perfectly. There are plenty of adapters to allow a close fit of the hose between the heat shields and transmission. I was checking/setting modulating pressure so I was connecting to the rear most test port on the left side of the trans case. I routed the line forward, then over the top of the heat shield for the left intermediate muffler. The hose tucked nicely between the body and the bracket for the front attachment of the rear lower control arm. The hose that comes with the kit is 6 feet long. I had enough length to allow me to hold the gauge in one hand with the door open, get in the car, and then close the door while transferring the gauge in through the open driver side window. It is easy to drive with one hand and hold the gauge with the other since the reading is taken at 31 mph with the trans at full temperature. All the trans fluid drains back into the case once the engine is off so there was no mess to clean up when i disconnected the hose. I may look at buying a couple more hoses to allow more length and to allow both gauges to be connected at the same time. Good investment for around $60US.

Tomorrow I need to top up the fluid just a touch and see if that addresses my slipping in reverse. Did not do this while I was testing but once removed the gauge and hose and re-connected the vacuum line my reverse started slipping. More fun for tomorrow.
