Check this out ... 10 psi of boost through a beautiful intercooler that requires no plumming or water and is super easy to install. Yes it is true, and here is a shot from the Sharktuner

Tell us more. I have an 86.5 with an Autorotor 2.0 and would be very interested in what you did.

Does this work without a supercharger too?

Here is a pic of the intercooler I designed and installed in order to go to Stage 2.0

Here is a hint... The intercooler is not a water to air system...

Sorry, but no, a supercharger is required. But the supercharger is very very easy to install

It didn't make 10 psi without any clamps on the charge air piping...

It is still there, nothing changed with that, you just cant see it behind the intercooler.

I am flying to NYC thursday morning to do a stage 2 install for a guy there. We will be documenting everything. He is going to take pictures, notes, and track everything including times, while I do the complete install. He wants to go do a dyno run after, but I dought we will get a before run in.

I had the same idea you did. However, I have read that using the A/C system for an intercooler only lasts for cooling bursts of limited time before the cooler is heat-saturated.

NOPE... not the A/C system. It is much simpler than that. Think really easy, and already installed right there.

Is it bolted to the rear coolant passages?

Are you using crankcase ventilation to cool the intercooler? But that doesn't make sense. I can see smem funky tubing on the vavle cover.
