Check this out ... 10 psi of boost through a beautiful intercooler that requires no plumming or water and is super easy to install. Yes it is true, and here is a shot from the Sharktuner

It is still there, nothing changed with that, you just cant see it behind the intercooler.
I am flying to NYC thursday morning to do a stage 2 install for a guy there. We will be documenting everything. He is going to take pictures, notes, and track everything including times, while I do the complete install. He wants to go do a dyno run after, but I dought we will get a before run in.

I had the same idea you did. However, I have read that using the A/C system for an intercooler only lasts for cooling bursts of limited time before the cooler is heat-saturated.

Are you using crankcase ventilation to cool the intercooler? But that doesn't make sense. I can see smem funky tubing on the vavle cover.
