Default Help, cleaning alloy rear hubs

Hi,
i have tried many products to no avail to remove the baked on brake dust from the rear hubs.
Because of the rough/pitted nature of the finish I can't get the baked in dirt out of the 'pits' so it still looks poor, so any ideas?
The products I use can remove it from any surface I can rub.

Any suggestions will be most appreciated

ta, Nigel

G'day Nigel
I found this product to be brilliant for getting everything of all the suspension parts. I can't remember exactly where I got it ... it may have been Supercheap Auto, but I have the feeling it was a marine supply outlet (lots of aluminium boats, so they have all types of alloy cleaners).

As it's an etching/corrosive cleaner I've used it when all else fails, but it gets things like new.

As usual ... careful ... gloves and safety goggles and plenty of water ready. It has Hydrofluoric acid in it which is nasty .. so be careful and do it in the open.
