Hope you all aren't getting pounded this afternoon with those storms. I fly through Dallas tomorrow morning and keeping my fingers crossed they still have enough planes to get to CA on time ;-)

Tom, AA has canceled all remaining flight into and out of DFW for the rest of the day. I used to work there and during this type operation my assignment moved me to the AA tower to help coordinate the recovery process. Bottom line it will be at least two days before everything is back to normal. All of the aircraft on the ground at the time of the tornado and the hail will need to be inspected. The tops of the flight controls on aircraft are all composits. They don't do well in hail. I would not be surprised to see dozens of aircraft out of service for impact damage to ailerons, flaps, slats, etc.
We also got significant tornado damage to houses, apartments and businesses in the surrounding area.
My suggestion would be to call the airline and see if you can change your routing or delay the flight if possible.

Andy Kay is the only one I've not heard from. Hope he's ok, the tornado tore through his area on it's way out.
Is the Dixie house still there?

I talked to John Curry and Mike Jake, both are okay. I'm less than a mile south of the Dixie house and we didn't get any damage. Just some hail and heavy rain, not even much wind.

Heard from Andy, he and the wife unit are fine, the tornado that went though his area was on the other side of a treeline from his house so that is lucky. He says his Mercedes is totaled though since it wasn't at home.

I talked to Andy. He's fine. Adrienne's Merc took a large hail direct hit to the rear window. She was up in the north metroplex area at a conference. Andy called Kenny and left messages. Doc Mirror called to check up and he's okay (relatively speaking).
Thank you to all the folk that have called to express concern.
See you Saturday morning!

I am bringing my two big boys to the meeting. Dylan 14.5, Ken 13, The little ones all have an Easter Egg hunt to go to. Maybe someone can advise me how to get my sunroof working again. Yesterday was really nice out so I opened it and it wouldn't shut. I had to email Roger to find out if he had a handle to close it. Acting on his advise I was able to close it with a screwdriver. Thank you Roger. So after that I tried to open it again. I can hear the motor turning but it doesn't budge.

Thanks for your concerns. The Kay Family is fine but Adrienne will probably need a new car. Yesterday, we were helping Kennedale residents who lived in the 10 unit mobile home park by the race track. Has a way of putting life in perspective.
Just saw the front page of the Star-Telegram ... that's where we were. That one standing is just a shell. The other nine are gone.
See you Saturday.
