Email it to me so I can put it on the list...You might have added it to the 928OC Roadside assistance program, but I need it too or it won't make it to the master!

Thanks my friend! Your cars look SO GOOD btw!!!

Here are shots of the work that was done by Exotic Motorworks in AZ! They did a great job and I can't thank them or recommend them enough!

Darn, that looks nice. Those cam gears look like the have almost no wear at all. Engine looks nice. Good luck with the car, I know you are going to just love it. However, looking at your stable, how do you keep your girls from getting jelous and fighting each other over your attentions? Do you drive a different one each week or have a schedule worked out?

I am envious as heck when I look at your list,

Frank,

The cam gears look good because they are NEW! They were also replaced today along w/ all the other stuff.

Thanks for the compliment on the stable. It has been 16 years in the making or more and I have had such a GREAT TIME with it I can't imagine not being part of this community!

As for how they get driven... The race car almost never gets driven, though I do take it around the block several times each year.

BLU82 almost never gets driven...it only has 3713 miles on it and I have owned it 3.5 years and it had 3536 when it rolled off the truck at my house...it is for sale if you would like to adopt it... $65,000 takes it to a new home! It will fund my 8 car double tall garage and a '93 GTS should it sell.

The '81 is at a friends house. He has been "borrowing" it for 4 YEARS now and is taking very good care of it and giving it a REGULAR work out and trips from Austin to D/FW to see his GF!

'78 is getting a little resto work and I won't see it till late spring I suspect but it will be SUPER NICE when it gets here!

'84 gets out to our 2nd Saturday GTG's nearly every month. It is living at another friends house and he takes it out for those events and any other 928 or Porsche events we might be going to.

'85 I drive on a pretty regular basis.

'88 I drive regularly.

EURO 92 is really my go to 928...I drive it A LOT!

'94 does not get out a whole lot, but it does not languish in the garage like BLU82.

The '95 when it gets here (and especially after all my plans for it are done) will become my go to car! It will get driven regularly.

Blue 82 sounds a lot like my beloved recent lite bleu metalic 79 Euro. I got it with 37k miles and used it as a DD for 7 years. One of the best cars I everr had and the classic lines with no bumpers or spoilers with that blue that reminded me of the water in the caribian... Hated to see it go but it just got terrible mileage for a DD.

So, I have to ask the question, You have one of each and have driven them all quite a bit, Is there one that stands out as a favorite above all the others? that Euro 92 maybe? I ask because now I have had 3 ob's loving them all. Thought the s4 was too squishey till I actualy bought my 88 and now have my 86.5 that I love. In all of them the 88 was probably the best road car I have ever seen. Highway that is. It was so quiet that you couldn't hear anything from outside with the windows up at 70-80 on the highway. It rode like luxury sedan and handled like it was on rails. I love my 86.5 but am afraid there will be another s4 in my future. I have owned literally hundreds of cars. Big joke in my family the boys laugh about it every time they get together, but I can say that the 88 was my favorite car ever and I owned a 66 Dodge Coronet 426 in 1972. It was also a daily driver/racer.... Wish I had kept it.

Kudos to the driver for having a light touch and shutting it down early,

Darin did great the whole trip... The car is safely in my garage now!! YEA! Pics later!

Frank the last car that will leave the collection will be the '92! That car is so special! As the VISA commercial says:

'92 928 GTS = $19,000
Conversion to US spec = $13,000
Driving your GTS on the unlimited autobahn in Germany = PRICELESS!!!!

The '95 would probably be the 2nd to the last to go just because it is one of only 77 imported and is something special. Especially after I get done with it!

They all drive and feel a bit different but by the same token, familiar. The early OB cars feel more like 911's...which makes sense as the company thought they would replace the 911. The later cars moved well up market and took on a different feel because they needed to be different from the 911 and appeal to a different, dare I say, more sophisticated buyer.

The GTS's are the ultimate iteration of the 928. Most HP and most elegance (IMHO) with the flared rear fenders and aero mirrors. They just look RIGHT to me!

Thanks man that was a good explanation of all. I think the one in your avatar is just beautiful and so is the car. I haven't had the pleasure of riding in or driving a GTS. My friend Steven here has a GT that is pretty special and I hope to have a ride in it soon. You must have one hell of a special wife to get by with having all the other loves in your life. Mine wouldn't understand even if we were wealthy beyond all else. She thinks cars are to just get you from place to place. Only the E39 BMW has gotten her attention a little on how much you can LOVE a car. I don't believe you could pry the keys from her hands to replace them with anything else.

Do you think it would be possible for me to visit the stable when I come down to visit Roger and run the Texas mile next year? I missed it this year because I couldn't get the car ready in time and my wife got very sick, but I intend to run it next year and every other one I can find like it.
