I have the heads off my 84 Euro at the moment, and the numbers are: 928.104.348 3R, and the valves measure 40mm for exhaust, and 45mm for intake. So, the 3R heads are for the 84-86 Euro S (310hp) and the 2R heads are for the pre-84 Euro S (300hp)? Maybe this will help....or confuse.

Now I have to dig out my Euro non-S head, cams, and towers to see what I have.

Does anyone have a list of parts and expected sizes and such?

Pretty sure both S and S2 heads are the same, but maybe some weird passages are different?

Euro S heads I believe not only have larger valves, but larger better shaped ports.

right ports are bigger to work with the larger intake runners.

even with a US intake system, you would still get some much needed power if you bolt this stuff on.

Please bear with some newbie questions regarding this. From what I'm reading, if I bolt this on to my US 82 (non-competition package) AT, I could see HP gains approaching 80 HP? What would the HP gain be if I just bought the cams? Combined with better flowing exhaust, I could potentially increase my engine's output by 100 HP, correct?

I don't think I'm ready to purchase this yet, since I'm no where near ready to pull the engine. Are Euro heads particularly rare?

I'm only asking because as much as I love my car stock, I was researching ways to give it more power and the options seem limited. This seems to be a (relatively) easy way to gain a significant increase in power. Thanks for your patience.

you could add the cams, and get some HP increase, but its really the package of cams/heads that see the HP bump. better exhaust with this set up would add a good amount of bump to that baby

You won't get a 100hp. I did my exhaust and that got me to 203rwhp on a 4.5l. Euro cams got me to 223rwhp. My guess is if I had euro heads and intake I would be at 250rwhp. I know the car would scream with this setup.

How much for the heads?

I put these heads/cams on my US 84. The car has headers and a 3" exhaust. It made 272whp. Assuming driveline loss is 15%, that puts crank horsepower at 320hp. So yes, these parts with a good exhaust, and a correctly running car, can gain you nearly 100hp.
