Hmm..good question. I dont.

But if I had a car apart..I might get rid of the 200lbs of that stuff, and use a normal coating.

I dunno, looks heavy as heck.

Works well tho.

I used some undercoating from Canadian Tire on my 928's underside battery box. Got rid of the surface oxidation and just sprayed it on. It's pretty thick so if covers up any scratches or deformities. The finish is nice and dry. It's got some rubber and tar components in it as well to have somewhat elastic properties. Worked pretty well.

I had a similar bare area, with a small corroded spot, on my 82 from brake fluid leakage. I went to a body shop/auto paint supplier and got 'brush on seam sealer' which has a similar rubbery consistency. Flexibility and thickness of cover helps to minimise chipping.

You should be able to get something similar in the States as it's a commonly used product, and I've used it on cars for years. You can stipple the surface with a brush, and build up to whatever thickness you like to replicate original appearance, and then paint.

Use a zinc primer on bare corroded areas before putting it on.

This is a black/brown that closely matches Porsche's under body color.
