You have to admit the 928 has it hands down on movie clips

And if there are any Portland 928 owners on here: I would love to see a car in person and hear your point of view of the pro's and con's.

Talking with local shop owners, they all kinda sing the same tune. "It's a supercar. With supercar maintaining, and it's a pita to work on". LOL!

I dunno, I stopped at the dealership to look (just look can't afford, lol!) a GT, and I liked how much room the engine bay had. Seats were comfy too, little bit more room as well.

I've always had a soft spot for that sound since Weird Science came out.

I couldn't decide which I like better so I have both

I've got a 2.8L 951 with a Lindsey Super 75 turbo tuned to run 20psi of boost. As the RPM climbs past 4000rpm, the thing mashes you back in the seat pulling steadily harder all the way to redline. The big turbo sounds like it is going to tear a hole in time. I found that with the boost set at 25psi I got wheel spin in 3rd gear at 90mph. The sweet smell of 100 octane and the whoosh of the turbo are the thrill. It is hard to enjoy what makes it special and stay out of jail.

I've also got a 1981 928S Euro. It is more comfortable, more distinctive, has a fabulous V8 sound. It makes me smile every time I drive it. It is quick enough to be fun, the low end grunt can be enjoyed even in city traffic. It is more fun to drive when you are consistently constrained by the laws of the road instead of the laws of physics.

That is WHY we own them !! may not be logical or reasonable but all it has to do is make you smile.

If you are only running 20psi of boost on a 2.8L then the Super 60 is big enough to easily make 20psi to red line, AND come on sooner.

And according to Mythbusters.... driving them forward as apposed to reverse is more aerodynamically efficient!
Though, they never did try a 944
