Speaker grill idea
I was walking through Sayal electronics the other day, not looking for anything in particular. And I came accross these, they are paper speaker grills, pretty sturdy and cheap, $1 something each. So I picked a few up for ****s and giggles.
And they fit the factory speaker recesses perfectly.
I have just begun my stereo install, I'm putting Infinity reference 4" in the front and trunk and 6.5" in the rear.
My plan is too cut a circle in the inner door to allow the magnet of the speaker the 5mm clearance needed to get them to seat properly and then use these grills with little velcro tabs to hold them in place.
3 of my 4 stock grills are busted, and have been glued a few times. I may be able to fix them, but these seem like a good option if I can not. Plus I kind of like how these look.
They look much better than in the picture.
Thoughts?
Oh and my 6.5" factory speakers are 4 ohm not 2 as many others have.
