Default seatbelt warning light

I replaced my battery last week (the old one was 12-13 years old and only holding 60% charge).

I finally had a chance to drive the car tonight and confirmed that the previous problem with dim dash lights was resolved. I can now see the gauges. However, I still notice a slight flcutuation in brightness depending on engine speed.

One fault that was not resolved was the seatbelt warning light coming on intermittently. I've read other threads that say it might be due to a bad alternator. Is it possible this is a symptom of a bad seatbelt relay instead?

I've cleaned some grounds already, but they were mostly clean anyway. All interior lights work correctly.

Is it that clear cut, or would removing it and having it tested be of any value?

If I do end up having to replace it, I'll need to decide between a Delco or avoid mods and go with an original style.
