Lock not working
#20
Here is a close up of the valve. I have pulled it out a bit so you can see that the end of the piston isn't attached to anything. This is what I'm trying to find. What part is missing and where should it be attached. You can see a hole in the end of the piston. I assume this gets attached via a rod of some sort to the lock mechanisim. The lock also has a hole drilled in it as well.

I got a vacuum pump and have test all three of the lines. All hold a vacuum without any fading in the pressure. The vacuum tank also holds a vacuum.
Also, when I applied vacuum to the red and green lines, I expected the passenger door to lock and unlock. It did not. I now suspect that the passenger door's system has been disconnected from the lock as well.

I believe I have made some headway with where the vacuum control valve attaches to the locking system. In the pictures above you see the black control valve tie wrapped to the door. This is not the proper location for the control valve.
I spent a little time this weekend with a flashlight and a mirror looking up inside the door to learn how all the parts work and move together. As I sat there locking and unlocking the door repeatedly I noticed a part that looks like a "craddle" for the control valve. It is located on the back-side, of the twist **** on the inside of the door.
I also noticed that if I were to snap the control valve into this holder, that the piston would line up perfectly with an attachment point on the lock mechanisim. Easy fix, except I have to remove the lock mechanism from the door to make the attachment. There just isn't enough room to get my hand and/or tools in there.
So, I will attempt to remove the lock this week and make the attachment.

I have the vacuum control valve attached to the lock mechanism. I had to remove the lock from the door to accomplish this. Only because there is simply no room inside the door.
Now I need to open the passenger door and find out what is wrong on that side since the vacuum lock doesn't work despite the lines holding a vacuum.
