ABS harness plugs

ABS harness plugs
I noticed tonight that the small shape coded main harness-side plugs that connect to the barrel connectors for the ABS/brake sensor/RDK wheel harnesses inside the engine bay at the shock towers are getting pretty ragged and crumbly from 20+ years of heat. At some point they will fail completely. Short of buying a used harness and scavenging the plugs is there any other fix like replacement connectors?

Unfortunately I think the harness section from the shock tower down to the wheel that includes the large barrel connector has a shield ground wire made into it to sink stray signals and other interference that might confuse the ABS to the chassis ground system. Any idea how much of this shielding is part of the barrel connector and protects the plug connections from stray signal interference? A new 6-pin male-female connector might be a workable solution as long as there isn't anything happening with the large barrel connector and proper shielding. Guess I'll start looking at shielded multi-pin connectors. Anyone have an old short harness from shock tower to wheel that could be dissected for evaluation?
