Nope, '87 manifolds have a three bolt pattern, your '84 has a 2-bolt. The '85-86 32V S3 exhaust manifolds are 2 bolt and will work on your '84, but IIRC there are other issues with respect to the passenger side S3 manifold lining up with the 16V downpipe. A real expert will be along shortly to weigh in, consider this a placeholder...

My local muffler guys, two pretty sharp old timers, didn't want to mess with welding on the old stainless exhausts. I forget what they didn't like, but I was looking to have the 5/8 bank exit flange moved up the pipe an inch or so, fairly simple, and they didn't want to do it.
US 85/86 manifolds are two bolts per port and fit on early cars with some adjustment to the downpipe to correct the 2.25 inch offset between model years.
