The concept of grafted in headlights seems like a good idea.

But the Austin-Healey Bug-Eye Sprite with the big pop up old school head lights still have a following.

They did not pop ! they were always up as big airbrakes. Opel GTs lights rolled over. But 928 lights pop up. Wonder what that does to the drag coefficient ? Because huge difference between up and down !

Good point Brutus! Just like the air brakes (spoilers) on aircraft.

I like the style of the 928s except when the lights are up.
Shortly after getting my '79 5spd my first post on this forum was about changing the headlights.

8 years since making the change, I like it.

If someone was to make a run of these clear covers I will certainly invest in a set. Eh Ken?
