Every 3rd time or so when I shut the hatchback the 3rd tail light fails. After a while it starts to work again (without having to go and fiddle with the bulb). Any hints on how to make the 3rd brake light a bit more stable? The hatch closes fine but it is pretty heavy and closes pretty solidly.

 

take the light out and clean the contacts and replace the bulb use the same bulb thats in the other brake lights
