Default Driver Seat Troubles - Help

Problem 1 - My driver’s seat back has been slowly reclining itself. The seat back adjustment button will move the left side but barely moves the right side. So the seat back ends up twisting. The motor is rotating and I am pretty sure both shafts are spinning but the right side seems to get bound up.

Problem 2 - the fore-aft motion only works on right side track and left side track doesn’t move. The screw gear on left side is not spinning. Motor is rotating. I tried the manual crank and it does not rotate the screw either.

Since I can’t move the seat fore-aft I can’t get to the seat bolts. Any ideas on how I can get the seat out to investigate further?

Move the front up as high as it will go and remove the black protective cover from the front than make sure the drive cables to either worm gear (square ends) are seated in their slots on the motor

From your description it appears only one side is engaged or one of the cables is broken.

You can also get to the manual release lever when you get the plastic cover(s) off. If you find you have a bad motor, PM me. I removed all of my electrical seat parts and went with manual. I've got wiring, motors, and relays that might work in your seats if you need them.
