back door panels pealing off??

Are you talking about the trim around the quarter windows? if so, they can be repaired and recovered. Most any decent auto upholstery shop will be able to do it. I had mine repaired and recovered in auto vinyl for $200 for both when I first bought the car in 2007.

okay thats classic rear 1/4 panel warp.....very common...& not all that cheap or easy to fix.....IF the leather is still attached (not pulled off)...I would try moisturizing it over time....it should relax a bit....thats what I did with Sharky...it worked well

mine are a little warped as well... i have thought about how to repar them, as well as my upper drivers door panel.. it is lifting at the window....
my thought is to take them off, strip the leather/vinyl , reshape them via steam/ small cuts, etc.. then paint them with some west system expoy..
however they have to be reshaped, the epoxy will keep them from warping again.

Rob Budd posted a method for straightening these and re-using the leather on them about a year or so (maybe longer - time flies) ago. Don't have the link, but search for "quarter panel repair", and perhaps Rob Budd with that and you should find the posting. Quite a thorough write-up.

Tony Harkin posted a Rear Quarter Panel fix way back. It involves riveting a straight edge yard stick (steel) from Home depot to the warped area, then either recovering or pulling the material (leather or leatherette) back over it and glueing it back down.
Without piics of yours, hard to determine what method of a fix is needed. The quarter panels range from really good on cars never left in the sun, to mildly warped, to totally fubard!!

If they are worped...it will require some kind of stiff material glued to the underside. A heat gun will not work long term. You can find 1" x 1' aluminum angle ( Lowe's, home depot) that weighs nothing and is cheap that works very well.
