Default Bosch Hammer error

My friend and I share a bosch hammer for his 928 and my 964. This past weekend he went to use it on his car and the Hammer said "internal error 37"

Does anyone know what that message means ( besides time to buy a PST2 or ....)

I just looked through the manual for my Hammer, and there is no mention of that error code at all. The only things I can think of is that the rechargeable battery may need to be replaced, or the software module is somehow not inserted correctly (unlikely). I assume you hooked up the cable correctly... Would love to know the answer to your question in case I have the same problem at some point.

Battery is new, but when it needs recharging you get an error to the effect "shutting down in 3 seconds".

Sounds like an internal problem of the KTS when it goes through its initial self check.

One also gets that "shutting down in 3 seconds" when the module is removed and the unit is started up. I tried that today. After I reinserted the module it restarted fine and no error code. Tomorrow I will reconnect it to the car and lets see what happens.

The ROM was loose. When I opened, removed and replaced the ROM and then started it up it has worked fine since.
