goodbye 928 lovers, i sold mine :(
today its a sad day, i had to sell my 928, i didnt needet the money, but i was afraid that when something should happen i couldnt afford it . i am in a divorce and cant take care of all the cars i have. selling the 928 was the best thing to keep my other cars in good shape...
i have to pay the bills , a house , a daily car, food, etc etc.
i will miss that car a lott, but i am sure one day i will find anotherone.
two months ago i replaced the windscreen, tinted the windows,,now its sold.
the good thing is i didnt loose a lot of money on it. the prices are rising , but only the good cars sell . it was sold in a month. it was a black with red interior.
thanks for all the help! great forum!

Sorry to hear this. I thought you were going to be one of the owners who stuck around for a while, but I can certainly understand. Hopefully, you enjoyed the car and will be back some day. Good Luck.

Selling it sucks. Seeing your ex driving away with it would suck even worse. Seeing your ex and a boy friend driving around in it would be a stake in the heart!
Been down the "Big D" road--there are brighter days ahead--take it one day at a time. Compared to family matters, these cars don't mean squat.

Did you mention Rennlist to the new owner? I think that should be an unwritten rule for all of us to help keep Rennlist Porsche's around even when the owner moves on. Good luck to you.

good luck. Been divorced twice. It does get better and sometimes worse before it gets better but in the end it is all good. Take care. I am thinking of breaking up with my present girl friend to spend more time with my 928. Never thought I would say that.......

thanks ,
ofcourse i told him he MUST visit rennlist and become a paid member!
the good thing is i can keep the house, the riviera, my bike and two other cars. , you all know a 928 can suddenly cost you a few thousends if something happens. and mine was good, but i wanted to have it perfect and then it needet a lot more than tinted windows and wider rims.
the heater needet more work, airco wasnt working. leaving it that way isnt my style.
selling it was the best thing to do instead of pumping money in it and loosing it all. it was hard when the buyer left of with a big smile in it.
but the money from that car and the two others will give me the chance to buy a bmw for daily use. the porsche was a hobby car. way to expencive for driving (gas costs 1.60 euro/L) . i think that is more than double than in the us. and gas isnt the most expencive on that car.

I had a customer do this. She got the 928 in the divorce and put a personalized plate on it ( something like "Mine Now") and she claims to drive it around his house all the time. This is the car I made my 928 truck with.
