Default 928 Rear Seats

Hi there.

I have an interior project on one of my 928's.

For the rear seats, I understand there are different widths because the trans ''tunnell'' was enlarged at one stage.

When was this, and which rear seats are interchangeable?

Cheers for your input!

I think the change came with the S4 model. Starting with S4 the seat backs have a hinge on the inner side. Before that, there was a pivot on the seat back that fit into a bushing in the rear console.

There is a difference in the rear P/S seat cushion, at least for my 86.5, depending on whether the car has rear A/C: there is a recess for the piping molded into the cushion for cars that do. Probably irrelevant to your project but thought I would mention it.
