BJ is NOT the place to try and get top dollar for a Porsche.
Hemi Cuda? YES!
$8500 is a good deal for whoever bought it, as long as everything checks out. Look for it on Ebay for 20K in the near future, with Charlie Sheen name dropping throughout the ad LOL!

Euro sports cars, especially 928's rarely get any love at BJ.
FWIW, this IS a public auction...open to anyone. You can register to bid at the BJ site...phone or internet bids are accepted.

You see, Chuck owned stock in Porsche from 1977-1995. As part owner of the company, he owned each of these autos before they were even sold for the very first time. Only a few, very shrewd and savvy, sellers use this as a point of marketing.

That car was on cl a couple months ago for $10,500/$9500 at a dealer in California. After the auction fee plus shipping the car they would have been better off selling it for $7k.
The market for 928's or any car that could cost money is dead right now. Check out the selling prices for 06-08 BMW M5's on Ebay (asking $35k+ selling $30k+)

Could be the "dealer" was a consignment lot, ie no profit for them unless it sells for more than so many $$$. Maybe the owner got sick of leaving it there and wanted it sold?
Price below includes buyer fees. I doubt anybody is going to be able to make money selling this car again.
Price: *$9,350.00
Year: 1989
Make: PORSCHE
Model: 928
Style: 2 DOOR COUPE
VIN: WP0JB0929KS860232

It's still in Scottsdale, so a buyer will either likely have to pay AZ reg or have it carriered out of the state.
It's rocketed up to $3k already with six interested enough to bid. No telling who has owned since GE Capital leased it to CS twenty-some years ago now. Or how it was taken care of.
